Legal
Terms of Use
Placeholder. These terms have not been reviewed by a lawyer. They describe the maintainer's current intent and may be updated without notice. For anything load-bearing, treat them as informational only until a real legal review happens.
Acceptance
By accessing the Vigil source code or this documentation site, you agree to the terms below. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
License
Vigil is published as open source. See the repository for the specific license that applies to the code. The documentation on this site (the hand-written copy that's NOT auto-generated from the repository) is made available under the same terms unless stated otherwise on a specific page.
No warranty
Vigil is provided "as is." There is no warranty that it will work for your static, ingest your reports correctly, or surface accurate diagnostics. The fault attribution, DPS-check verdicts, and optimization scores are derived from heuristics applied to FFLogs event data; they are best-effort and not guarantees.
Third-party services
Vigil reads data from FFLogs (the third-party log site) via its public API. By using Vigil with your own FFLogs account, you agree to FFLogs's own terms of service. Vigil does not endorse, control, or guarantee the availability of FFLogs.
Game IP
FINAL FANTASY XIV is the intellectual property of Square Enix Co., Ltd. Vigil and this site are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Square Enix. Encounter names, ability names, and other in-game terminology are used for descriptive purposes only.
Changes
These terms may change. Any material change will be noted in the project's changelog. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
